Job summary

St. Luke's Medical Center in Quezon City seeks a Paralegal Officer to support the Legal and Compliance Group with case management, document preparation, and contract compliance.

You will coordinate with internal teams and external counsels to keep trackers updated and ensure timely submissions. The role involves reviewing and drafting legal documents, preparing reports, organizing evidence, and communicating case updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of any four-year course (secretarial course or any bachelor’s degree).
  • At least two years of work experience as Paralegal.
  • Computer literate (MS Office Applications).
  • Excellent formal writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Resourcefulness in online research.
  • Attentive to details and organized.
  • Ability to effectively interact and communicate with government agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor cases involving SLMC entities before courts, government, and regulatory bodies; ensure trackers are updated.
  • Monitor filing deadlines and submission requirements; provide reminders to internal/external counsels as needed.
  • Review and draft legal documents, memos, pleadings, and other written materials as necessary.
  • Study cases and prepare reports as assigned by the Head or lawyers of the Legal and Compliance Group.
  • Collaborate with lawyers to prepare cases for court; organize evidence, prepare exhibits, and gather case materials.
  • Communicate with external counsels to provide/request case updates and address concerns.
  • Coordinate with individuals or units related to cases handled by the Legal and Compliance Group to gather information and necessary documents.
  • Collate and prepare documents for the Legal and Compliance Group.

Job description

The Paralegal Officer is involved in comprehensive management and monitoring of SLMC’s legal cases, documents, and contract compliance, alongside coordination with internal and external teams. His/her responsibilities include document preparation, court support, and effective communication on legal matters. He/she is required to conduct compliance training and managing financial processes related to legal services.
