Responsibilities

• Draft and review contracts and other related documents.

JOB SUMMARY

Paralegal – Legal and Compliance is in charge of assisting the Corporate Legal Counsel and Compliance Officer in making sure that legal and compliance matters are properly dealt with. These matters, include but may not be limited to, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, rules and regulations related to corporate housekeeping; filing cases for and on behalf of the company; reviewing contracts and other related documents; doing legal research and drafting memoranda, letters and other documents related to legal and compliance team; and such other tasks as may be assigned by the Corporate Legal Counsel and Compliance Officer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• DRAFT PLEADINGS, MEMORANDA, AND OTHER DOCUMENTS NECESSARY FOR FILING CASES FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE COMPANY
• FILE CASES FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE COMPANY
• PROVIDE RESEARCH ON LEGAL, REGULATORY, AND COMPLIANCE ISSUES/MATTERS FOR THE COMPANY
• ASSIST THE CORPORATE LEGAL COUNSEL AND COMPLIANCE OFFICER IN COORDINATING WITH STAKEHOLDERS AND THIRD PARTIES TO SETTLE LEGAL AND COMPLIANCE ISSUES
• DRAFT AND REVIEW CONTRACTS AND OTHER RELATED DOCUMENTS
• PERFORM OTHER TASKS AS MAY BE ASSIGNED BY THE CORPORATE LEGAL COUNSEL AND COMPLIANCE OFFICER

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• PREFERABLY A GRADUATE OF BACHELOR’S DEGREE RELATED TO LAW OR LEGAL MANAGEMENT, OR ANY RELATED FOUR-YEAR COURSE
• WITH 1-3 YEARS AS PARALEGAL, LEGAL ASSISTANT, OR IN OTHER LAW-RELATED WORK
• EXPOSURE TO COURTS AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES
• BACKGROUND IN LEGAL RESEARCH
