Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock is seeking a PAD and Payroll Specialist to join the Insurance Operations team in Manila. You will build, run, quality check, and upload payroll files and pre-authorized debit (PAD) files for client premium collections.

Responsibilities include managing payroll and PAD files, responding to client inquiries, documenting processes, and participating in client meetings as the subject-matter expert. Hybrid work arrangement in the Philippines is offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in the financial industry and specifically Group Benefits.
• Prior experience in a payroll environment or working with payroll files.
• Good Excel knowledge.

We’re looking for a PAD and Payroll Specialist to join our Insurance Operations team at MGS. In this role, you are responsible to build, run, quality check, and upload payroll files and pre-authorized debit (PAD) files for clients for the direct collection of plan members’ premiums.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manage payroll files, which includes: Set up the system that allows the file to run Schedule and coordinate running the files Quality-check the files Send the files to the client Answer inquiries about the files and their content
• Manage pre-authorized debit (PAD) files, which includes: Run queries to identify members who require pre-authorized debit (PAD) Build the pre-authorized debit (PAD) file that contains the members and their premiums Upload the pre-authorized debit (PAD) file into the treasury system Answer inquiries about the pre-authorized debit (PAD) transactions in the files Document the custom processes for payroll and pre-authorized debit (PAD) for your assigned clients Attend meetings with clients as the subject-matter expert for their payroll and pre-authorized debit (PAD) files

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge and experience in the financial industry and specifically Group Benefits
• Prior experience in a payroll environment or working with payroll files.
• Good excel knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Life Insurance, Underwriting, or Medical Review; knowledge of SQL is a plus.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance policies, and underwriting concepts.
• Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude, fast learner, adaptable to change, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
