Job summary

Amentum seeks a Motor Vehicle Mechanic to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. This full-time, on-site role requires journeyman experience with NTVE, WHE, MHE or OHE and NAVFAC P-307 familiarity.

The position involves preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnostics, emergency road service, and adherence to safety standards in a remote overseas environment. Travel, visa, and security clearances may be required.

Qualifications

• Two years journeyman-level experience maintaining and repairing NTVE, WHE, MHE, or OHE.
• Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.
• English proficiency to meet contract and safety requirements.
• Able to obtain visas and pass medical/security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair on NTVE, WHE, MHE, and OHE as applicable.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose mechanical issues using current tech.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure readiness.
• Maintain records of repairs, inspections and maintenance per procedures.
• Provide emergency road service as assigned, 0700–2100, seven days.
• Operate vehicles for diagnostics and verification of repairs.
• Adhere to safety PPE and zero-injury policy; follow all safety protocols.
• Mentor journeyman mechanics on new NTVE additions.
