Job summary

Amentum seeks a Fuel Distribution System Operator to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will oversee storage, handling, and distribution of petroleum products to meet mission-critical needs while complying with safety, environmental, and Navy guidelines.

The role requires experience with constant-pressure fuel systems, strong attention to detail, and ability to obtain visas and medical clearances for deployment. Remote overseas assignment; travel may be required.

Qualifications

2+ years’ experience in petroleum storage and distribution, focused on constant-pressure systems.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of fuel storage and dispensing systems.
Familiarity with fuel safety standards and environmental rules.
Mechanical and troubleshooting skills for fuel systems.
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Valid passport and international travel ability.
Ability to obtain visas per US government guidance.
Ability to pass medical requirements for deployment.
Ability to obtain facility credentials.
English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain constant-pressure fuel dispensing and storage systems.
Manage storage and distribution of petroleum products for mission-critical operations.
Monitor fuel quality, flow rates, and inventory levels.
Inspect pumps, valves, tanks, and pipelines for safety and compliance.
Record fuel received, stored, and distributed; prepare logs and reports.
Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
