Job summary

Amentum seeks a Distribution Manager for a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will oversee daily operations, contract management, and delivery of high-standard logistics and support services in a challenging, remote environment.

Responsibilities include government liaison, performance oversight, cost control, and resource allocation to ensure timely, within-budget execution under safety and quality requirements.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in logistics or contingency operations management.
• Experience managing projects, contracts, funds, and resources.
• Minimum of three years as a warehouse manager/foreman, preferably government contracts.
• Certification in Material Management and storage operations including HAZMAT/HAZMIN.
• MHE operator certification.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary government point of contact.
• Oversee day-to-day execution and oversight.
• Ensure compliance, performance and reporting requirements are met.
• Oversee scheduling of personnel and work supervision.
• Monitor costs, budgeting, and operating costs.
• Develop and enforce procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
