Amentum is seeking a Facility Lead, Electrical to oversee and lead the maintenance of electrical systems for a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role requires strong hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems and proven leadership to manage a team of technicians in a remote deployment.

The position emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders while ensuring reliable operation of critical facilities.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in electrical maintenance and repair, with at least 2 years in supervision.
• Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician or equivalent certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional electrical certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and best practices.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, NFPA, IEEE).
• Proficient with CMMS or similar maintenance systems.
• Effective cross-functional communication.
• Must hold a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
• Must obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and repair of all facilities, systems, and electrical equipment as identified in the technical sub-annex, ensuring they are maintained to a standard that prevents deterioration beyond normal wear and tear.
• Inspect, evaluate, and assess the condition of electrical systems and equipment to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety, performance, and government regulations.
• Identify deficiencies and implement timely corrective actions to maintain the full life expectancy of electrical facilities, systems, and equipment.
• Lead a team of electrical technicians, providing guidance and oversight for electrical maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for electrical systems to ensure continuous and reliable operation.
• Coordinate with other departments, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth integration of electrical maintenance activities into facility operations.
• Monitor and manage electrical system performance metrics, ensuring compliance with contract standards and government regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Ensure all electrical systems comply with applicable codes, standards, and best practices, including relevant safety regulations and procedures.
• Provide training and support for team members to ensure adherence to safety protocols and promote professional development.
• Respond to electrical system emergencies and resolve issues promptly to minimize disruptions to operations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and quality of facility and electrical system maintenance programs.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.
