Job summary

Amentum seeks a General Maintenance Worker to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will coordinate maintenance and repairs to minimize disruption to electrical power systems and maintain a critical spare parts inventory, ensuring continuous operation of electrical infrastructure.

You will inspect, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance while following OSHA and DoD-related requirements. Strong documentation and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with maintenance, repair, and inspections of electrical and mechanical systems in industrial or commercial settings.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
• Familiarity with inventory management and spare parts processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance and repair activities to minimize service disruption to electrical power systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance or repairs on systems, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain a list of critical spare parts to support continuous service.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and align stock levels with operational needs.
• Conduct scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance for reliability of electrical infrastructure.
• Document maintenance logs and reports; ensure data accuracy.
• Follow safety standards and comply with OSHA and government requirements.
• Assist in preparing technical reports and updates on maintenance tasks and outages.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and diagnose issues to minimize downtime.
