Job summary

Amentum seeks an Electronics Technician to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic equipment, read manuals and schematics, and ensure safety and compliance with NAVFAC MO-200 standards.

The role requires 1–3 years of relevant experience, a high school diploma, ability to obtain visas, medical clearance, and ongoing NAVFAC training; work in a multi-national, austere environment with varied shifts.

Qualifications

• English reading/speaking sufficient to perform contract requirements and safety procedures.
• Passport valid for at least 1 year at time of hire.
• Ability to obtain country-specific visas as required.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance during deployment.
• 1–3 years of experience in maintenance and repair of electrical/electronic equipment.
• Certification/training as required by NAVFAC MO-200 standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and manuals.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic and electrical equipment to ensure operational readiness.
• Perform tests, inspections, and diagnostics to identify issues and resolve technical problems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and inspection records per standards.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams for repairs.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and applicable electrical codes.
• Coordinate with supervisors and team members to meet maintenance deadlines.
• Pursue ongoing NAVFAC training to stay current with standards and technology.
• Work in diverse environments on Diego Garcia and adhere to deployment requirements.
