One Intranet Corporation in Taytay, Rizal is seeking a motivated Outside Plant (OSP) Technician/Splicer to install, splice, test, and maintain fiber optic cables for aerial and underground networks. The role ensures high-quality connections that support the company’s internet and network infrastructure.

You will perform fusion and mechanical splicing, OTDR testing, organize cables and patch panels, assist in installations, coordinate with NOC, keep records, and work outdoors with safety in mind.

Qualifications

• Vocational graduate in electronics/electrical or related field.
• Experience in fiber optic splicing, termination, and testing (fusion splicing preferred).
• Knowledgeable in using fiber testing tools such as OTDR, power meter, and VFL.
• Physically fit for outdoor work and heights.
• Driver’s license (advantage).
• Flexible hours including weekends/holidays for maintenance or repairs.
• Team player, detail-oriented, able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform fusion splicing and mechanical splicing of fiber optic cables.
• Conduct OTDR testing, power meter readings, and continuity checks to verify cable integrity.
• Prepare and organize fiber optic cables, closures, and patch panels according to design standards.
• Assist in installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial and underground fiber networks.
• Coordinate with NOC and Dispatch for testing and restoration activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation of splicing activities, cable routes, and test results.
• Physically fit and willing to work outdoors and at heights.
• Ensure all work follows safety, quality, and company standards.
• Support troubleshooting and restoration during outages or service degradation.
• Assist in network upgrades, expansions, and preventive maintenance activities.

We are seeking highly motivatedOutside Plant (OSP) Technician /Splicer to join our team. The Outside Plant (OSP) Technician/Splicer of One Intranet Corporation, is responsible for the installation, splicing, testing, and maintenance of fiber optic cables for both aerial and underground networks. This position ensures accurate and high-quality connections that support the company’s internet and network infrastructure. The Splicer works closely with the OSP team to guarantee service reliability, perform repairs, and support network expansion projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform fusion splicing and mechanical splicing of fiber optic cables.

• Conduct OTDR testing, power meter readings, and continuity checks to verify cable integrity.

• Prepare and organize fiber optic cables, closures, and patch panels according to design standards.

• Assist in installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial and underground fiber networks.

• Coordinate with Network Operations Center (NOC) and Dispatch team for testing and restoration activities.

• Maintain accurate documentation of splicing activities, cable routes, and test results.

• Physically fit and willing to work outdoors and at heights.

• Ensure all work follows safety, quality, and company standards.

• Support troubleshooting and restoration during outages or service degradation.

• Assist in network upgrades, expansions, and preventive maintenance activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Vocational Graduate in Electronics, Electrical, or any related course.

• With experience in fiber optic splicing, termination, and testing (fusion splicing preferred).

• Knowledgeable in using fiber testing tools such as OTDR, power meter, and VFL.

• Physically fit and willing to work outdoors and at heights.

• With driver’s license (restriction 1, 2, or higher) is an advantage.

• Can work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays, when required for maintenance or repairs.

• Team player, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
