Job summary

Ambtel Corporation in the Philippines is seeking a field telecom technician to install, maintain, and repair outside plant fiber-optic and copper facilities across varied outdoor sites.

You will perform cable pulling, splicing, testing, locate faults, document results, and coordinate with engineers and utility partners while following safety standards in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Install, maintain, and repair fiber-optic and copper outside plant facilities.
• Perform fiber-optic cable pulling, splicing, termination, and testing.
• Conduct cable testing using equipment such as OTDR, optical power meter, and light source.
• Troubleshoot fiber and copper network faults and identify cable damage or signal issues.
• Install and maintain poles, aerial cables, underground conduits, handholes, cabinets, and closures.
• Read and interpret OSP engineering drawings, plans, maps, and cable routes.
• Perform cable locating, route inspections, and site surveys.
• Document completed work, test results, materials used, and network conditions.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, customers, and utility companies when required.
• Follow company procedures, telecommunications standards, and occupational safety requirements.
• Work outdoors and in various weather and site conditions.
