Job summary

Development Strategist Int'l Consulting Inc. in the Philippines is seeking a competent field technician to join our Outside Plant (OSP) maintenance crew.

You will work under the Project Supervisor and Manager, lead the team on site, monitor output, and ensure compliance with client SLA and safety standards. The role requires knowledge of cable installation and splicing, ability to follow instructions, and willingness to travel to different locations.

• Experience in telecommunications, fiber optic installation, or related field

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of Project Supervisor and Manager. All instructions pertain to site implementation and standards should come from your immediate superior
• Overall Lead of the team, responsible to monitor team output based on OSP standard output guide per day. Progress monitoring and reporting to immediate superior. Timely escalation and reporting of issues to Project Supervisor and able to solve issues at hand
• Knowledgeable on proper material liquidation this includes the obligation to return the excess materials not limited to cables, hardware materials and accessories issued by the company
• Work as a part of a telecom crew working under Outside Plant (OSP Maintenance)
• Ensure to meet outage ticket completion within target SLA of the client
• To comply to company and client’s rule for the use of Mateline and other media platform for time-in/time-out and reporting medium (Huawei's Operation Web Service (OWS) platform)
• He agrees to comply with the company’s drive to work under Environmental Health and Safety standard set forth by the company under DOLE policy. Compliance to the use of complete PPE within the official working hours.
• Any safety violations during performance of duty escalated by company officers and client will deal corresponding penalties subject to company investigation
• He will comply and agreed to deliver the sites within the client target issued completion time and SLA
• To implement outage restoration tickets based on Preventive and Corrective MCT tickets
• Other activities related to OSP works required to render to complete the project or restoration

Responsible for:

• Cable Re-cabling, Cable and Nap Grooming, Looping of cables and other Preventive Maintenance works
• Cable fixing, using f-clamps, retractors and midspan clamps for OSP Maintenance works
• Must know how to do rectification for Traditional and Conventional Globe cables (12core to 72core)
• New Nap Installation, Nap Preparation, Change Splitter, Maintenance Loop of Naps
• POI and Closure Splicing, Mainline Fiber Splicing, Nap Splitter splicing and other related splicing works
• Fiber sleeves installation in new spliced fiber
• Nap Survey Activities
• Cut Over Activities
• Hanging Nap Restoration
