Job summary

R1 RCM is seeking a skilled Medical Coder with active CPC/COC/CCS/CCS-P certifications and at least two years of office/OP coding experience. The role favors familiarity with EMR platforms such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech and a clinical background in ED or urgent care.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Holds an active Medical Coding Certification (CPC, COC, CCS and/or CCS-P)
• With at least 2+ years of OP (SDS and/or ED – E/M) coding experience

Nice To Have

• Advantage will be given to those with Charge Capture/Charge Audit, OP QA, or Auditor experience
• Medical allied/non‑medical allied course graduate, associate degree holder, or PHRN holder
• With experience in any EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner & Meditech
• Prior experience as a nurse coder or clinical background in an ED or urgent care setting
