Job summary

COMMSEC INC. is seeking an OSP Designer to lead a local maintenance team in Mandaluyong. The role covers fault management, emergency coordination, and ensuring SLA compliance with DITO. You will coordinate with authorities, conduct route surveys, and oversee safety and skills training for team members.

The position requires managing personnel, resources, and timelines, and requires a personal laptop. Overtime with pay is expected as part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Manage personnel arrangement, work assignment, attendance and performance management of the local OSP maintenance team
• Allocate the maintenance team, vehicles, tools and materials based on faults, cutovers, resource verification, customer tasks and other situations
• Coordinate and handle OSP network faults and carry out emergency coordination and escalation management for major incidents
• Ensure fault response, on-site handling, temporary restoration and permanent repair meet DITO SLA requirements
• Track the entire process of OTDR testing, fault location, fiber splicing, temporary repair and final restoration
• Serve as the main coordination window between the local project team and DITO
• Respond promptly to DITO’s maintenance tasks, faults, complaints and other work requirements
• Coordinate and follow up on construction permits from DPWH, MMDA, Barangay, LGU and other relevant authorities
• Develop construction plans, conduct route surveys and joint site inspections, prepare construction schedules and issue design drawings
• Organize safety training on a monthly basis and skills training for TLs, splicers and other personnel once every quarter

About the role

OSP Designer responsible for team and personnel management, fault and emergency maintenance management, customer and DITO coordination, permit and construction coordination, and quality, safety and skills management for OSP network maintenance operations.

What you’ll do
