Job summary

ABSI is looking for a Project Coordinator to support the planning and execution of Outside Plant (OSP) and Optical Distribution Network (ODN) projects in Makati, Philippines. The role includes coordinating deployment activities, tracking progress, and managing documentation for fiber network builds.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 4 years of telecom infrastructure experience, preferably in fiber deployment. Strong organizational and coordination skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 24 years experience in telecom infrastructure projects, preferably in fiber deployment or OSP networks.
• Basic understanding of ODN architecture, fiber optic networks, and outside plant infrastructure.

Description

The Project Coordinator ODN/OSP supports the planning, coordination, and execution of Outside Plant (OSP) and Optical Distribution Network (ODN) deployment activities for broadband infrastructure projects. The role assists project managers and engineering teams in tracking project progress, coordinating field activities, managing documentation, and ensuring timely delivery of fiber network build milestones.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating ODN/OSP deployment activities, including fiber cable installation, ducting, pole installations, and civil works.
• Support the Project Lead/Manager in tracking project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress and escalate delays or issues affecting project timelines.
• Coordinate with field engineers, contractors, and installation teams to ensure smooth execution of ODN/OSP build activities.
• Track site readiness, material availability, and construction progress.
• Assist in scheduling field work, site surveys, and build activities.
• Maintain project documentation including fiber routes, site records, permits, as-built drawings, and completion reports.
• Prepare project status reports, dashboards, and progress updates for management.
• Ensure proper documentation for project acceptance and handover.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors responsible for civil works, fiber installation, and ODN infrastructure.
• Track vendor deliverables, work completion reports, and billing documentation.
• Ensure contractors comply with project timelines and quality standards.
• Assist in ensuring installations meet telecom engineering standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines.
• Support site inspections, acceptance testing, and quality checks.
• Ensure documentation is completed for project close-out.
• Facilitate communication between engineering teams, field operations, project management, and external contractors.
• Schedule project meetings and track action items.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 24 years experience in telecom infrastructure projects, preferably in fiber deployment or OSP networks.
• Basic understanding of ODN architecture, fiber optic networks, and outside plant infrastructure.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with FTTH/FTTx deployments.
• Familiarity with fiber routing, splice planning, and ODN components (splitters, closures, cabinets).
• Knowledge of telecom permitting, right-of-way coordination, and civil works management.
• Experience with project management tools (MS Project, Excel, or similar).
