Job summary

AboitizPower invites applications for an Safety Officer to lead occupational safety and health initiatives on construction sites, ensuring compliance with all applicable OSH laws and the EPC contract. The role collaborates with the project team to deliver safe outcomes and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

The position involves monitoring OSH standards, renewing permits, conducting inspections, and coordinating with regulators and the Legal department to prevent violations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in BS Engineering or BS Nursing, or related field.
• At least five years of experience in a related field, with at least two years of project-related experience.
• Proficiency in OSH compliance and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out OSH goals and objectives on construction sites.
• Collaborate with EPC contractor to comply with government OSH laws and contract requirements.
• Monitor OSH programs through inspections, audits, and reporting to management.
• Update OSH activities and communicate findings to the team and regulators.
• Prepare OSH plans, incident reports, and improvement actions.
• Ensure site security protocols are implemented and coordinated with EPC contractor.
