Position: Optometrist (Onsite)
Location: TeleCure Medical and Diagnostic Center, 221 Tanjeco St., San Vicente, City of Malolos, Bulacan & Assigned Onsite Locations (Corporate Sites, Health Caravans)
Job Type: Full-time, Probationary
Work Schedule: 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (1-hour lunch break)
Reports To: Onsite Manager

Role Overview

The Optometrist is responsible for providing comprehensive primary eye care services at both TeleCure clinics and onsite healthcare activities, including health caravans, corporate wellness programs, and community outreach initiatives.

In this dynamic role, you will conduct eye examinations, assess visual function, diagnose refractive errors, prescribe corrective lenses, and refer patients requiring specialized ophthalmologic care. Beyond clinical care, you will ensure that our optometric diagnostic machines are properly operated, maintained, and safely transported for field deployments.

As a valued member of TeleCure's healthcare delivery team, the Optometrist participates in the organization's YAKAP Incentive Program and is eligible for performance incentives in accordance with company policies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Clinical Eye Care & Community Vision Screening

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations, including the assessment of visual acuity, refraction, binocular vision, color vision, depth perception, and overall ocular health.
• Diagnose and manage refractive errors and common eye conditions within the professional scope of optometry.
• Prescribe appropriate corrective lenses and provide thorough patient education on eye health, preventive care, and the proper use of lenses.
• Conduct vision screening programs during health caravans, corporate wellness programs, school activities, and community initiatives.
• Identify patients requiring specialist management and coordinate timely referrals to ophthalmologists or other healthcare providers.

Equipment Operation & Asset Management

• Operate all optometric diagnostic equipment in strict accordance with manufacturer recommendations and professional standards.
• Ensure the proper cleaning, calibration, maintenance, safe transportation, and storage of diagnostic machines for both clinic and field use.
• Safeguard assigned equipment, ensuring its operational readiness, and immediately report any defects or maintenance needs.

Documentation, Quality & Patient Safety

• Accurately document examination findings, diagnoses, prescriptions, and referrals in the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
• Ensure the completeness and strict confidentiality of patient records in compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
• Deliver optometric services in accordance with professional standards, ethical practices, and TeleCure clinical protocols, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.
• Prepare reports required for operational monitoring and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Collaboration & Teamwork

• Coordinate seamlessly with physicians, nurses, clinic personnel, and onsite healthcare teams to provide integrated, patient-centered care.
• Assist in planning and implementing vision care services for both clinic and onsite operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education: Doctor of Optometry

Licensure: Licensed Optometrist with a valid and current Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license.

Experience: Proven experience in primary eye care, refraction, and community vision screening is highly preferred.

Technical Skills: Strong clinical skills in comprehensive eye examinations. Familiarity with computerized optometric equipment and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems is a distinct advantage.

Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient service skills with a passion for patient education.

Field Readiness: A strong willingness to travel and actively participate in onsite healthcare activities and community outreach programs.
