Job summary

Peregrine Eye & Laser Institute Corp. invites a licensed Doctor of Optometry to join our Makati, Binondo and Quezon City clinics. You will examine eyes, assess vision, and prescribe and fit eyeglasses or contact lenses.

Educating patients on lens care and safety, referring to ophthalmology as needed, and providing pre- and post-operative care for eye surgeries are part of the role. This full-time position offers exposure to diverse cases and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry with Professional License (Board/Professional License Exam) or equivalent.
• New board passers are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Examine eyes using observation instruments and assess visual acuity, focus and coordination.
• Prescribe, supply, fit and adjust eyeglasses, contact lenses and other vision aids.
• Educate and counsel patients on contact lens care, visual hygiene, lighting and safety factors.
• Consult with and refer patients to ophthalmologist or other health care practitioner when additional treatment is needed.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for eye surgeries (e.g., cataract, laser vision correction).
• Perform other position-related duties as assigned, depending on the setting.
• Will be assigned to Makati, Binondo and Quezon City branches.

• Prescribe, supply, fit and adjust eyeglasses, contact lenses and other vision aids.
• Educate and counsel patients to contact lens care, visual hygiene, lighting arrangements and safety factors.
• Consult with and refer patients to ophthalmologist or other health care practitioner if additional medical treatment is determined necessary.
• Provide patients undergoing eye surgeries, such as cataract and laser vision correction, with pre- and post-operative care.
• Performs other position related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.
• Will be assigned to Makati, Binondo and Quezon City branches.
