Job summary

Star Eye Specs Corp is seeking a full-time Optician/Optical Technician for our retail team. You will assist customers with eyewear selection, take optical measurements, and ensure proper fitting and dispensing of prescription eyewear.

This role supports upcoming store openings, with flexibility for assignment to any new Star Eye Specs location. You will work closely with the Optometrist and store team to ensure smooth patient service, precise dispensing, and adherence to quality standards.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in optical settings or clinics.
• Experience as an Optician, Optical Technician, or related role preferred.
• Knowledge of optical products, lenses, and basic dispensing procedures.
• Familiarity with different lens types including single vision, multifocal, and blue-light lenses.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting eyeglass frames and lens options based on prescription and lifestyle.
• Take accurate optical measurements (including PD and OC height) for proper lens fitting.
• Operate edging and lens cutting equipment and dispense finished eyewear.
• Perform frame adjustments and basic repairs; ensure proper fit and comfort.
• Support store opening processes and collaborate with Optometrists and staff.
