Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking an Operations Technical Training Supervisor to drive technical training programs, ensure workforce competency, and support manufacturing goals across Global Operations.

Reporting to the Operations Technical Training Manager, you will develop materials, maintain records, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, HR, and EHS to identify skill gaps and deliver competency-based training. This role emphasizes continuous improvement and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in technical training, manufacturing engineering, operations, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, including SMT, PCBA, testing, assembly, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in delivering technical training programs, on-the-job training (OJT), competency development, and certification initiatives.
• Familiarity with quality management systems, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, IPC, EHS).
• Proficient in problem-solving, statistical analysis, lean manufacturing principles, risk assessment, and training performance evaluation.
• Strong communication, facilitation, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute technical training programs aligned with business priorities, operational goals, and the annual training roadmap.
• Deliver competency-based training on manufacturing processes, including assembly, testing, troubleshooting, automation, and maintenance.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance training materials, SOPs, work instructions, and certification requirements.
• Support employee onboarding, qualification, certification, and competency assessments to ensure workforce readiness.
• Manage skills matrices, training records, and certification databases to accurately track employee competencies and qualifications.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, customer, and industry standards while supporting audit readiness and documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, HR, and EHS teams to identify skill gaps and implement targeted training solutions.
• Lead continuous learning and improvement initiatives by monitoring training effectiveness, coaching trainers, and driving workforce capability, productivity, and performance.
