Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking an Operations Technical Training Supervisor to strengthen our engineering and manufacturing capabilities. You will oversee technical training programs, ensure workforce competency, and drive continuous improvement across Global Operations.

You will report to the Operations Technical Training Manager and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, HR and EHS to develop training materials, SOPs, and certification pathways that meet ISO/IPC and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical training, manufacturing engineering, operations, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, including SMT, PCBA, testing, assembly, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in delivering technical training programs, on-the-job training (OJT), and certification initiatives.
• Familiarity with quality management systems, ISO, IPC, EHS and related standards.
• Proficient in problem-solving, lean manufacturing principles, risk assessment, and training performance evaluation.
• Strong communication, facilitation, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute technical training programs aligned with business priorities, operational goals, and the annual training roadmap.
• Deliver competency-based training on manufacturing processes, including assembly, testing, troubleshooting, automation, and maintenance.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance training materials, SOPs, work instructions, and certification requirements.
• Support employee onboarding, qualification, certification, and competency assessments to ensure workforce readiness.
• Manage skills matrices, training records, and certification databases to accurately track employee competencies and qualifications.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, customer, and industry standards while supporting audit readiness and documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, HR, and EHS teams to identify skill gaps and implement targeted training solutions.
• Lead continuous learning and improvement initiatives by monitoring training effectiveness, coaching trainers, and driving workforce capability, productivity, and performance.
