Job summary

MSC India - Nhava Sheva is seeking an experienced Operations Assistant to support vessel husbanding, port clearance, and cargo operations at our Nhava Sheva facility. You will coordinate with Port Customs, Port Authorities, PHO and other agencies to secure vessel clearance, monitor vessel movements, and ensure compliance with port regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Vessel Husbanding & Port Clearance: experience in vessel husbanding and port operations; coordinate with Port Customs, Port Authorities, PHO and other agencies.
• Vessel Operations Monitoring: monitor vessel operations during port calls and ensure smooth execution; understand customs, immigration and port clearance procedures.
• Vessel Supervision & Compliance: provide vessel supervision and ensure compliance with port regulations, safety requirements and statutory procedures.
• ODC Cargo Operations: supervise loading/unloading operations and ensure safe cargo handling.

We are searching for an experienced Operations Assistant at our MSC India - Nhava Sheva facility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Vessel Husbanding & Port Clearance :
Experience in vesselhusbanding and port operations.
Ability to manage vesselhusbanding activities and coordinate with Port Customs, Port Authorities,PHO (Port Health Organization), Immigration, and other relevantgovernment agencies for vessel clearance and immigration formalities.
Vessel Operations Monitoring:
Sound knowledge of customs,immigration, PHO, and port clearance procedures.
Ability to monitor and overseevessel operations during port calls to ensure smooth execution ofactivities.
Vessel Supervision & Compliance:
Hands-on experience in ODC(Over Dimensional Cargo) handling, loading, and supervision.
Provide vessel supervision andoperational support while ensuring compliance with all port regulations,safety requirements, and statutory procedures.
ODC Cargo Operations:
Supervise and coordinate ODCloading and unloading operations.
Ensure safe cargo handling andstrict adherence to operational and safety procedures.
