You are a technical artisan who finds deep satisfaction in the craft of building and maintaining the back-office systems that power social change. You are a versatile resource within the internal operations hub, responsible for transforming raw data and organizational needs into high-quality, finished deliverables across Smarter Good's service strands, bridging Financial Vitality (bookkeeping, reconciliations, payroll, financial tracking) with Organizational Viability and Ecosystem Investment & Impact (grant drafting, donor research, M&E data, strategic comms, capital syndication, funder alignment).

Key responsibilities
  • Execute high-volume data entry, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing cycles with high precision, full documentation, backup, and support
  • Gather, categorize, and organize documentation for 990 preparations, annual audits, and regulatory filings
  • Accomplish technical workflows for donor database management and grant template drafting
  • Input program data into Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) frameworks and maintain internal People & Culture records
  • Perform desk research for ecosystem intel reports and sector mapping exercises
  • Provide administrative processing for grantee applications and support the logistical setup for networking convening

  • Maintain proficiency in up to 4 distinct operational areas, comfortably pivoting based on internal demand
  • Ensure all work products are client-ready by acting as a line of defense for data accuracy
  • Utilize AI productivity tools to accelerate data cleaning, categorization, and draft generation for non-sensitive deliverables
About you

  • Open to fresh graduates with strong academic/internship projects or candidates with 1–3 years of professional experience in operational, research, or financial roles
  • Demonstrated exposure to at least one area: basic bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, expense tracking, payroll processing, budget monitoring, data entry in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero), grant proposal drafting, desk research/funder mapping, M&E data input, donor CRM updates, following SOPs, maintaining organized digital filing systems, or structuring project tasks in work management tools

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with a strong respect for team deadlines and shared goals
  • Maintain mastery of the core tech stack (G-Suite, QuickBooks, CRM) to ensure data precision in foundational workflows
Benefits
  • An opportunity to work alongside passionate and inspiring changemakers in a global company that enables progressive nonprofits and social enterprises
