Job summary

Coherent Corp. is hiring for a Yield Improvement Lead in the Philippines. You will drive world-class final yield and scrap rate improvements across assembly and test manufacturing, leading root-cause analyses and corrective actions with global engineering teams.

You will analyze diverse data sources, establish dashboards and standards for yield analysis, and collaborate on product introductions, transfers, and ramp-ups to ensure yield impact is evaluated and sustained.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
• Typically 3–5 years of experience in semiconductor or optoelectronics with lead yield improvement and defect reduction projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead yield improvement and defect-reduction initiatives across assembly and test manufacturing processes.
• Analyze production, assembly, test, equipment, and quality data to identify trends and major yield-loss mechanisms.
• Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions using 8D, DMAIC, fishbone, fault-tree, and DOE with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure yield improvement actions are documented, validated, and sustained through monitoring.
• Establish yield dashboards, Pareto analyses, and trend charts; develop standards for yield analysis and data collection.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introduction, transfers, ramp-up, and changes with yield impact evaluation.
