Job summary

Relay Human Cloud seeks a meticulous Property Accountant to manage the financial operations of a diverse property portfolio, ensuring GAAP compliance and accurate reporting. The role collaborates with multiple departments to deliver timely statements and insights.

Onsite work with a fixed night shift, the ideal candidate will leverage Yardi or similar real estate accounting platforms and contribute to budgets, reconciliations, and external audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in property accounting or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work onsite and on a fixed night shift.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring they meet GAAP standards.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Analyze property financial performance, identifying trends and variances to drive strategic decisions.
• Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with property managers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Assist in budget and forecast preparation, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Support external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Prepare CAM Reconciliations and calculations.
• Prepare Distribution calculations.
