Job summary

Arroya Cruises is seeking a Watch Specialist to promote watches onboard, advise guests, and drive sales in a fast-paced retail environment on board. The role requires strong customer service and inventory skills and involves handling payments and maintaining displays.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English required for guest interaction and reporting.
• Strong customer service, communication and negotiation skills are essential.
• Basic knowledge of products and inventory techniques.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a variety of watches and timepieces to guests.
• Provides advice to guests relating to the onboard watch product range.
• Meets and exceeds sales target objectives consistently through expert consultative selling.
• Ensures that presentation of products is visually appealing and merchandised to maximize sales.
• Informs guests of special offers, new products and promotions.
• Assist guests to find the goods and products they are looking for.
• Handles guests’ complaints and queries.
• Processes payments.
• Keeps the shop layout attractive and tidy, following guidelines.
• Conduct cycle counts, SKU checks and inventory preparation.
• Monitors stock levels and replenishes in a timely manner.
• Be accountable for ensuring optimal supply and recommend additional inventory for best sellers.
• Assists with stock control and inventory management, including receiving large deliveries.
• Reports discrepancies and problems to the supervisor.
• Keeps the store tidy and clean, including hovering and mopping.
• Keeps up to date with special promotions and displays.
• Maintains organization of shop and storage areas.
• Prepares to multitask and take on additional duties (including vessel safety duties).
