Job summary

SEABIRD SHIP MANAGEMENT, INC. in Manila seeks a Recruitment Officer to source, screen, and hire qualified deck officers, engineers, and ratings for offshore vessel crews.

You will verify compliance with STCW, MLC, and flag state requirements, and manage crew databases and seafarer documents such as CoCs, medicals, and visas.

This role requires shipping industry HR experience and a solid understanding of maritime regulations to ensure timely crew availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management & Business Administration.
• 1-3 years of recruitment or HR experience; maritime sector preferred.
• Experience with seafarer recruitment or manning agencies is advantageous.
• Understanding of STCW and MLC 2006 regulations.
• Familiarity with crew certification and documents.

Responsibilities

• Source, screen, and hire qualified deck officers, engineers, and ratings.
• Verify compliance with STCW, MLC, and flag state requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date crew databases and seafarer documents (CoCs, Meds, Visas).
