Job summary

Rongsheng Steel Structures Inc is seeking an Office Procurement Engineer in Quezon City to support construction operations through strategic procurement and supplier management.

You will source, evaluate, and acquire materials, equipment, and services, coordinating with project teams to meet specifications, budgets and delivery schedules while upholding quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or related field.
• 2–4 years of procurement experience in construction or steel structures preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment and industry standards.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office applications.
• Ability to analyse specifications and evaluate supplier proposals against criteria.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with internal teams and suppliers.
• Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
• Understanding of supply chain management and logistics.
• Familiarity with Filipino construction industry practices and local suppliers helpful.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and select suppliers for steel materials, equipment and services.
• Prepare purchase requisitions, RFQs, and purchase orders based on project requirements.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing to achieve value and favorable terms.

About the role

Rongsheng Steel Structures Inc is seeking an Office Procurement Engineer to join our team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in supporting our construction operations through strategic procurement and vendor management. As a Procurement Engineer, you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and acquiring materials, equipment, and services essential to our projects. This role bridges the gap between our engineering and operations teams, ensuring that all procurement activities align with project specifications, budget constraints, and delivery schedules whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and select suppliers and vendors for steel materials, construction equipment, and related services
• Prepare and issue purchase requisitions, quotation requests, and purchase orders based on project requirements and specifications
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to achieve optimal value for money and favourable payment terms
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain relationships with key vendors to ensure consistent quality and reliability
• Coordinate with project managers and engineers to understand material requirements, timelines and technical specifications
• Track procurement timelines and expedite deliveries to ensure projects remain on schedule
• Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation and inventory management systems
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations and procurement best practices
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, materials and cost-saving opportunities
• Manage procurement budgets and provide cost analyses to support project planning and decision-making

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the construction or steel structures industry
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment and industry standards
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
• Proficiency in procurement software systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to analyse specifications and evaluate supplier proposals against technical and commercial criteria
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external suppliers
• Attention to detail and excellent organisational abilities
• Understanding of supply chain management and logistics
• Familiarity with Filipino construction industry practices and local suppliers would be advantageous
