The Off-Platform Payment Operations Manager will lead high-visibility payment strategies, commercial execution, and payment collection operations, connecting payments with fleets, merchants, and acquiring opportunities to enable reliable, scalable execution across Grab's ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in payments/fintech or related industries.
• Minimum 5 years spanning strategy, commercial management, business operations, product operations, fleet operations, or program management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data-driven insights.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional initiatives and managing diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to navigate fast-paced, ambiguous environments.

Responsibilities

The team operates at the intersection of payments strategy, commercial execution, stakeholder management and partner collections. We turn business priorities into practical operating plans, scalable payment solutions, and measurable outcomes while balancing partner experience, commercial value, operational control, and regulatory requirements.

As the Off-Platform Payment Operations Manager, you will lead high-visibility payment strategies, commercial execution, and payment collection operations. You will connect payments, transport/EV fleets, strategic merchant partnerships, and off-platform acquiring opportunities to ensure reliable and scalable execution across Grab's ecosystem.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Payment Strategy and Business Planning
  • Develop and execute payment strategies aligned with business priorities, identifying opportunities to improve adoption, transaction performance, cost efficiency, and monetization.
  • Translate business objectives into practical operating plans, business cases, and measurable outcomes for new payment use cases, acceptance channels, and growth opportunities.
  • Prepare performance reviews, strategic recommendations, and decision materials for executive leadership.
• Commercial Operations and Partner Management
  • Oversee end-to-end payment operations, monitoring transaction success, revenue, costs, settlement, reconciliation, and service reliability across banks, acquirers, and processors.
  • Evaluate partner economics, pricing, commercial terms, and performance trends to surface trade-offs that improve business value.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations to enhance collections, settlement accuracy, and dispute management while establishing governance routines and escalation mechanisms.
• Fleet and Transport Ecosystem Integration
  • Connect payment flows with transport realities by supporting payment and operational initiatives for EV fleets, transport operators, and vehicle service providers.
  • Optimize payment collection, billing, reconciliation, and settlement mechanisms tailored to fleet operating models (rentals, charging, maintenance, deposits).
  • Lead cross-functional readiness and execution for new fleet, EV, transport, or payment program rollouts.
• Process Automation and Governance
  • Identify operational gaps, conduct root-cause analysis, and drive issues to resolution.
  • Design and implement process automation initiatives to minimize manual effort, reduce errors, and accelerate turnaround times for unresolved exceptions.

Essential Skills You Need

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Operations, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in payments, fintech, acquiring, banking, transport, mobility, or related industries.
• At least 5 years of experience spanning strategy, commercial management, business operations, product operations, fleet operations, or program management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of converting data into actionable business insights.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and managing diverse internal and external stakeholders.
• Comfort navigating fast-paced environments, ambiguity, and shifting business priorities.

Additional Information

Nice-to-Haves

• Direct experience with payment acquiring, processing, merchant acceptance, e-wallets, cards, QR payments, or alternative payment methods.
• Hands-on knowledge of payment flows, collections, settlement, reconciliation, disputes, fraud, and regulatory requirements.
• Background in EV operations, fleet management, mobility, logistics, or vehicle service ecosystems.
• Proven track record in operational process automation, new market launches, or scaling payment solutions.
