Job summary

Nestlé is seeking an Ocean Hub Transport Monitoring Team Lead to oversee end-to-end ocean freight monitoring and optimize container movements across Nestlé Markets. You will lead a sizable cross-functional team, ensure on-time deliveries, and drive cost-effective, data-driven operations.

In this role you will coordinate with carriers, forwarders, markets, and procurement to uphold governance and improve service quality while advancing knowledge sharing and digital platform usage across the hub

Qualifications

• 4-5+ years of significant experience in ocean freight operations.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end ocean freight processes (allocation, booking, execution, settlement).
• Proven experience managing operational teams.
• Experience working with ocean carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers.
• Ability to operate in a global, multi-stakeholder environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ocean transport monitoring to support timely stock delivery per Nestlé Markets requirements.
• Manage service performance across ocean transport operations ensuring shipment visibility, data accuracy, and reliable execution.
• Lead a large-scale operational team within an above-market shared service environment; foster accountability and collaboration.
• Drive structured continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency and service quality.
• Embed knowledge management and structured learning to strengthen capabilities and consistency.
• Leverage digital logistics platforms and data to improve visibility and decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to global processes, standards, governance, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain alignment with Nestlé Markets, Procurement, carriers, and senior leadership.
• Contribute to the Ocean Hub network through collaboration and knowledge exchange.
• Support onboarding and expansion of services including transition and go-live activities.
• Develop team capabilities via training, coaching, and workforce planning.
