Job summary

The Project Nurse at J.E Manalo & Co., Inc. will provide primary healthcare services, first aid, and emergency medical response at the construction site, ensuring the health and well-being of all personnel.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.
  • 1–3 years of nursing experience, preferably in occupational/industrial health or site-based care.
  • With valid BLS and First Aid certification.
  • ACLS certification is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of occupational health protocols and emergency response procedures.
  • Ability to assess and respond promptly to medical emergencies.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction site environment.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
  • Willing to work on-site and comply with project health requirements.
  • Willing to relocate to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first aid and emergency medical care to workers on site.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, treatment logs, and health data.
  • Conduct health checks and pre-employment/post-incident evaluations when required.
  • Monitor occupational health risks such as heat, fatigue, dehydration, and diseases.
  • Assist in health programs, vaccination drives, screenings, and education activities.
  • Support health-related investigations and incident reports.
  • Maintain clinic hygiene and inventory of medicines and supplies.
  • Coordinate with hospitals, clinics, and emergency services for referrals.
  • Educate workers on hygiene, hydration, PPE use, and safety practices.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
  • Perform other health-related duties as assigned by management.

Job Summary

The Project Nurse is responsible for providing primary healthcare services, first aid, and emergency medical response at the construction site. The role ensures the health and well-being of all personnel by managing work-related injuries, promoting occupational health, and supporting the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and programs.

What You Will Do:
  • Provide first aid and emergency medical care to workers in cases of accidents, injuries, or health concerns on site.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, treatment logs, and health surveillance data.
  • Conduct health checks and assist with pre-employment and post-incident medical evaluations when required.
  • Monitor occupational health risks, including heat stress, fatigue, dehydration, and communicable diseases.
  • Assist in implementing site health programs such as drug testing, vaccination drives, health screenings, and health education activities.
  • Support the EHS/HSE team during accident and incident investigations and prepare health-related incident reports.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and proper inventory of the site clinic or first aid station.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and availability of medicines, medical supplies, and emergency equipment.
  • Coordinate with hospitals, clinics, and emergency services for referrals and serious medical cases.
  • Educate workers on proper hygiene, hydration, PPE use, injury prevention, and basic health and safety practices.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable health regulations, workplace health policies, and construction safety standards.
  • Perform other health-related duties as may be assigned by the management or project team.
Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of nursing experience, preferably in occupational health, industrial health, construction, or site-based healthcare.
  • With valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.

  • Knowledge of occupational health protocols and emergency response procedures.
  • Ability to assess and respond promptly to medical emergencies.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction site environment.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
  • Willing to work on-site and comply with project-specific health and safety requirements.
  • Willing to relocate to other project sites as required.
Nice-to-have:
  • Training or certification in Occupational Health Nursing (OHN) or Industrial Health.
  • Experience working in construction, infrastructure, engineering, or large-scale development projects.
  • Experience working in remote or challenging site locations.
  • Familiarity with EHS/HSE programs, incident reporting, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Experience handling occupational injuries, emergency response, and health surveillance programs.
  • Knowledge of workplace health promotion and disease prevention programs.
  • Strong coordination skills with hospitals, clinics, emergency responders, and government health agencies.
