Job summary

Michael Page International Recruitment Philippines seeks a Financial Accountant to oversee the general ledger operations for APAC in our Manila Shared Service Centre and to support statutory and tax compliance. You will work with our Service Centre team and with stakeholders across departments, reporting to the GBS Manager Manila.

Key duties include monthly/quarterly US GAAP closures, audits liaison, analytical reporting, and ensuring local reporting requirements and SOX controls are met while

Qualifications

• The role would suit someone studying toward an accounting qualification or with equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting glocal accounting (APAC, EMEA, NAM, MENA, LATAM, or ANZ).
• Proven ability to work effectively in a highly interdependent organization.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Good organization, prioritization and time management skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills essential.
• SAP skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review of monthly, quarterly and annual US GAAP financial closure process
• Main point of contact for statutory audits and external queries for Nordics
• Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly analytical reports
• Manage and comply with other local financial reporting requirements and filings (ie statistical reports, etc.)
• Handling of US GAAP tax accounting
• Comply with assigned SOX key controls
• Partnering with other functions for further process improvements
