Job summary

PFOCN Philippine Fiber Optic Cable Network is seeking a senior core and transmission network engineer to lead nationwide architecture planning above the OLT level and oversee related projects.

You will drive preventive maintenance, interconnection with external partners, IP traffic testing, fault recovery, and training for operations staff. This role requires coordination across teams to optimize service quality, reduce costs, and ensure secure, stable network operations across the Philippines.

Responsibilities

• Develop nationwide core network architecture planning above OLT level and lead execution of related engineering projects.
• Formulate and implement preventive maintenance plans for the nationwide core network, ensuring secure and stable operations.
• Lead and coordinate interconnection and interoperability projects with external partner networks.
• Establish IP traffic testing standards, conduct acceptance tests, and monitor traffic utilization.
• Drive company-wide initiatives to enhance service quality, optimize costs, and improve operational efficiency.
• Organize, manage, and implement technical training for network operations staff.
• Supervise batch inspection and acceptance testing of newly deployed ONUs.
• Collaborate with teams to analyze customer complaints, identify root causes, and deliver service quality improvements.
• Oversee nationwide IP address planning, allocation records, and VLAN planning.
• Manage software upgrades for core network equipment including CR, BRAS, switches, and GPON devices.
• Lead network optimization, troubleshooting, and fault recovery for core network, switches, and GPON devices.
• Handle customer single-point and multi-point network faults that cannot be resolved at the NOC level.
• Regularly consolidate fault reports and provide scheduled training on network concepts to relevant departments.
