Eclaro Business Solutions, Inc. invites applications for a Reinsurance Accounting Associate in a hybrid role based in QC/BGC. You will prepare manual and recurring journal entries for treaty activity, and work with the U.S. team to ensure accurate month-end close.

The role requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and accounting experience with reconciliations. You will maintain documentation, prepare bordereaux, and support audits and close deadlines.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
• Attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Accounting experience involving journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Preferred familiarity with reinsurance concepts such as quota share and excess-of-loss.

Responsibilities

• Prepare manual journal entries for treaty premiums, commissions, losses, recoverables, payables, and related balances.
• Book recurring treaty activity for quota share, excess-of-loss, and other treaty arrangements using approved calculations and templates.
• Perform monthly reconciliations between reinsurance systems, supporting reports, and the general ledger; research and explain differences.
• Prepare bordereaux and reconcile them to accounting records (premium, commission, losses, settlements).
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities and meet deadlines.
• Maintain organized supporting documentation for journal entries, reconciliations, bordereaux, and audit requests.
• Update process instructions and checklists; identify opportunities to improve recurring work.
• Communicate progress and issues promptly to the U.S. Reinsurance Accounting team.
