Job summary

GUERILLA CREATIVE MARKETING, INC. is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to support our US client with medical back-office tasks including EMR management, record keeping, billing, and customer service. On-site role with night shift (9:00 PM–5:00 AM PHT) in the Philippines.

Requirements include 3+ years in healthcare information management and 2+ years in a HIM team, strong communication skills, and preferred EMR experience. Benefits provided and career growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of cumulative experience in a healthcare information management BPO account, bedside clinical experience in a hospital or clinical setting, or a combination of both.
• At least 2 years of experience working in a team within a healthcare information management account.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate directly with clients.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good healthcare knowledge and a strong understanding of medical terminology.
• Preferred: A bachelor's degree in Nursing, Medical Technology, or an allied medical field.
• Preferred: Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient information through interviews, record medical histories, and confirm the purpose of each visit.
• Complete and safeguard medical records while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Secure diagnostic and procedure coding as part of patient record keeping.
• Relay physicians' orders to patients and provide related guidance.
• Manage inbound and outbound calls, emails, and chat communications.
• Schedule appointments and manage rescheduling and cancellations.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date EMR entries, including medical histories, and edit records as needed.
• Verify patients' healthcare insurance coverage and eligibility.
