Job summary

D&V Philippines is seeking an Associate Accountant to support client bookkeeping, accounting and tax tasks (US). You will work from the office on a night shift, handling daily bookkeeping, journal entries, reconciliations, payroll, vendor and client invoicing, and file maintenance.

The role emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail and teamwork with senior staff to ensure timely closings and compliant financial reporting across multiple clients.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily bookkeeping and accounting functions.
• Record and categorize financial transactions accurately.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts.
• Maintain general ledger accounts and supporting schedules.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Prepare journal entries as directed by senior accounting staff.
• Review financial data for accuracy and completeness.
• Process vendor bills and client invoices.
• Vendor payments and maintain payment records.
• Verify payroll reports and employee information.
• Maintain payroll-related documentation.
• Organize and maintain electronic client files.
• Update client records and internal tracking systems.
• Support the accounting team with special projects as needed.
