Job summary

iQor in Metro Manila is hiring an Application SRE in Engineering Operations to automate software processes, troubleshoot systems, and manage incidents. The role requires working an alternative shift (9:00 PM–5:00 AM EST) to provide 24/7 coverage for deployments and incidents.

You will write and review runbooks, refine SQL queries, and collaborate with SMEs to shorten resolution times. Proficiency in Python and Java, plus cloud deployment experience, are highly valued.

Qualifications

• A 4-year degree or equivalent experience in software development or DevOps engineering.
• 2 to 4 years of hands-on coding experience, with a preference for Python and Java.
• 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience with orchestration and deployment technologies.
• Strong familiarity with hosted and cloud-based web deployment technologies.
• A proven track record of resolving issues independently and recommending appropriate solutions.
• Proficient understanding of Single Sign-On (SSO) functionality.

Responsibilities

• Automating software processes and applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) methodologies for continuous improvement.
• Troubleshooting software systems based on alerts and using incident command methodologies to lead Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to shorten resolution times.
• Updating standard IT documentation, runbooks, and scripts.
• Writing and reviewing custom SQL queries to pull complex datasets.
• Supporting product deployments and identifying areas for process and application automation.
• Assisting team members, answering questions, and clearly articulating problems on both technical and non-technical levels.
