Job summary

EviSmart seeks a dedicated night-shift incident commander for its Autopilot platform. This individual contributor role owns after-hours incident response, declares issues, triages them, and drives fast, safe resolutions to align with daytime standards.

You will monitor health across the stack, train a backup, and collaborate with DevOps to improve tooling. Clear communication with customer-facing teams is essential during live incidents.

Qualifications

• Experience as an individual contributor in technical support or incident response.
• Ability to work independently under pressure, without a manager.
• Hands-on with service restarts, log review, and ticketing systems (Jira).
• Able to train a peer and delegate tasks to a backup night shift.

Responsibilities

• Own incident command at night and triage to resolution.
• Monitor platform health day and night.
• Ensure cross-shift consistency of processes and tools.
• Train night backup to handle triage and real tasks.
• Partner with DevOps to keep infrastructure stable and improve tooling.
• Know when to escalate to higher-level support.
