Job summary

BDO Unibank is seeking a New Business Team Leader to oversee daily operations of New Business Processing, Receiving, Policy Assembly, QA, Policy Release, and Document Management in Makati. You will ensure timely processing, adherence to SLAs, and accurate records while guiding a cross-functional team.

The role requires a strong focus on process improvement, performance coaching, and collaboration with IT for system issues and UAT activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any business-related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the life insurance industry or business services environment.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and business systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily new business operations, including receiving, encoding, policy assembly, QA, policy release, document management, and disbursement.
• Ensure turnaround time (TAT), accuracy, and completeness of all new business transactions.
• Lead and manage New Business Support, Quality Control, Policy Release, and Document Management staff.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and performance; provide coaching and guidance as needed.
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Handle operational concerns, including missing documents, system issues, and advisor inquiries.
• Prepare and monitor operational reports, trackers, logsheets, and performance metrics.
• Support process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, UAT activities, and user training.
• Coordinate with IT on system issues and prepare incident reports when necessary.
