Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking a Networking Advisor to join our India team. You will serve as a Senior Network Engineer/SME supporting enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure, handling advanced troubleshooting and design of routing and switching solutions.

The role requires hands-on experience with F5 load balancers, ITIL change management, and the ability to operate in a 24x7 production environment while communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience supporting and managing enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructures.
• Extensive hands-on Routing & Switching in large enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in Layer 2/3 networking including VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP.
• Hands-on experience administering F5 Load Balancers.
• Familiarity with ITIL and Change Management processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, plus customer service and analytical skills.

We are currently seeking a Networking Advisor to join our team in India, Uttar Pradesh (IN-UP), India (IN).

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a Senior Network Engineer/SME supporting enterprise network infrastructure and operations.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for complex network incidents across LAN and WAN environments.
• Design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise Routing & Switching solutions.
• Administer, support, and troubleshoot F5 load balancing and application delivery solutions.
• Participate in network deployments, upgrades, maintenance activities, and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with project managers, business stakeholders, and cross-functional technology teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Own and document escalated support tickets and service requests through resolution using ServiceNow or similar ticketing platforms.
• Ensure network configurations comply with established standards, policies, and change management processes.
• Participate in root cause analysis, network performance monitoring, and operational reporting.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and support a 24x7 production environment.
• Demonstrate strong communication, presentation, and customer service skills while working with technical and non-technical audiences.

Basic Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience supporting and managing enterprise LAN/WAN network infrastructures.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Routing & Switching technologies in large enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, including:
  • VLANs
  • STP/RSTP/MSTP
  • HSRP/VRRP
  • OSPF
  • BGP
  • EIGRP
• Hands-on experience administering, configuring, and troubleshooting F5 Load Balancers (Required).
• Strong knowledge of network troubleshooting methodologies and performance optimization.
• Experience supporting mission-critical production environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL and Change Management processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Highly Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Cisco and Aruba networking solutions.
• Experience supporting enterprise wireless environments.
• Experience with Riverbed technologies.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus platforms.
• Technical Lead or SME experience in enterprise network environments.
• Experience working in 24x7 operational support organizations.
• Strong documentation, presentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
