Job summary

CITADEL Pacific Ltd. in the Philippines seeks a Senior Technical Support Specialist to monitor and support our network infrastructure across multiple sites. You will work with the Network Administration, Server and Security teams to resolve incidents and implement improvements ensuring reliable connectivity.

Requirements include 5–8 years of network experience, CCNA or equivalent, and familiarity with firewall technologies and monitoring tools. A hybrid cloud concept background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or CS.
• 5–8 years of network support experience.
• Experience with enterprise, multi-site networks.
• Familiarity with firewall technologies (Fortinet, Sophos, Cisco).
• Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, switching, wireless).
• Knowledge of network monitoring tools like Site24x7.
• Understanding of cloud networking concepts (Azure; hybrid env preferred).
• CCNA or equivalent; ITIL Foundation preferred.
• CompTIA Network+ / Security+ (optional).
• Microsoft certifications (optional).

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1–3 network support and incident escalation.

Job description

The Senior Technical Support Specialist is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting the organization'snetwork infrastructure to ensure continuous, reliable, and secure business operations across all sites and locations. The role works closely with the Network Administration, Server and Security Team in identifying, mitigating, and resolving network-related incidents, as well as supporting ongoing infrastructure and security initiatives.

1. Network Operation and Support:

• Provide Level 1–3 support for network-related incidents, requests and escalation.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and access issues.
• Handles complex network concern and issues.
• Monitor network performance and availability across all sites.
• Mentor junior engineers through technical guidance.

2. Network Implementation and Maintenance:

• Manages project, merger and acquisition requirements.
• Handle installation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure for multiple sites:Routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices
• Support network deployment for new sites and expansions
• Ensure proper network configuration and adherence to standards

3. Network and Security Support:

• Assist in managing network security tools and solutions, including:Firewalls (Fortinet, Sophos, etc.)Endpoint and web security platforms.
• Support enforcement of IT security standards and policies.
• Ensure network availability and secure access to systems and applications.

4. Incident and Ticket Management:

• Manage incidents, requests, and service tickets based on priority and SLA.
• Provide timely updates and resolutions to stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of issues, actions, and resolutions.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain updated documentation of:Network diagrams,Configurations,Standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Assist in preparing reports related to network performance and incidents.

6. Continuous Improvement:

• Assist in network design discussions and planning activities.
• Recommend improvements for performance, scalability, and security.
• Stay updated with emerging networking technologies and best practices.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS:

• College Graduate of Bachelor of Information Technology or Bachelor of Computer Science
• At least 5–8 years of relevant experience in network support
• Experience supporting:
  1. Enterprise networks
  2. Multi-site environments
  3. Firewall and security systems
• Strong knowledge of:
  1. Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, switching, wireless)
• Familiarity with:
  • Firewall technologies (Fortinet, Sophos, Cisco)
  • Network monitoring tools (e.g., Site24x7)
  • Endpoint and web security tools
• Basic understanding of:
  • Cloud networking concepts (Azure / hybridenvironment preferred)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
