Qualifications

Network Firewall Engineer – Tier II

Are you an experienced Network Security professional with strong expertise in Palo Alto firewalls and enterprise network operations? We're looking for a Network Firewall Engineer – Tier II to join our team and help maintain, secure, and optimize mission-critical network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto Networks firewalls within a complex enterprise environment.
• Monitor and respond to network security events, incidents, and escalations as a Tier II support resource.
• Perform firewall policy management, security rule reviews, and change implementations.
• Support network routing, switching, and Cisco security technologies to ensure optimal network performance and security.
• Investigate and resolve network and security issues using tools such as Wireshark, Splunk, Syslog, ServiceNow, Netcool, and SevOne.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and security teams to implement best practices and strengthen network security posture.
• Document technical procedures, incident resolutions, and infrastructure changes.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) is required.
• CCNA or CCNP Security certification is an advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience working with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, network routing and switching, and Cisco security technologies.
• Strong experience with packet capture analysis, log management, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools including Wireshark, Splunk, Syslog, ServiceNow, Netcool, and SevOne.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network security issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced operational environment.
