Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructure across LAN, WAN, and wireless environments. The role emphasizes high availability, troubleshooting, and security, with collaboration across IT teams on projects.

You will work remotely from the Philippines with a focus on scalable networking, cloud networking awareness, and ongoing professional growth within a diverse, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure roles.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching).
• Hands-on experience with network devices (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar).
• Experience in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
• Configure and manage network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.

• Hands‑on experience with network devices (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar).
• Experience in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

Preferred Skills/Expertise

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent).
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).
• Experience working in Agile or enterprise IT environments.
