Job summary

Role Overview

We are looking for a Transport Network Engineer to oversee end-to-end transport network project delivery, network configuration, and stakeholder coordination. In this role, you will lead high-impact network implementations, provide hands‑on technical solutioning, and drive project tracking and reporting to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Stakeholder Management

• Execute project plans, track key milestones, and deliver regular progress updates across project cadence.
• Collaborate with internal/external domain leads, vendors, and clients to define high-level project scopes, timelines, and business requirements.
• Assist in negotiating and gaining approval for processes, policies, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Coordinate vendor meetings, consolidate project data, track status via platforms (e.g., Kanban, ISDP), and update project dashboards.
• Act as company representative during site surveys, vendor activities, and major implementations.

Engineering & Technical Solutioning

• Perform transport network assessment, network configuration, and connectivity troubleshooting.
• Create and approve Methods of Procedure (MOPs), Work Orders, Service Orders, and Technical Site Survey Reports (TSSR).
• Manage IP, Port, and VLAN allocations; conduct port validation and Network Management System (NMS) checks.
• Supervise site activities for major events that carry outage risks.
• Execute Business-As-Usual (BAU) engineering duties according to assignment code.

Reporting, Capacity Management & Administration

• Conduct transport network health checks and link utilization reporting to support capacity management.
• Transform raw project data into actionable performance dashboards, consolidated reports, and forecasting models.
• Resolve technical client concerns and deliver customized solutions for project-specific challenges.
• Support team growth through process orientation and onboarding new hires.

Job Qualifications:

• At least a Bachelor’s Degree (Preferably Engineering related courses)
• At least 1-3 years experience in Telecommunication
• Knowledgeable in Transport, Core, Network Implementation and monitoring
• Knowledgeable in System support NMS (Citrix, ECI-VNC, NOKIA-NFMP, Mongoose Tellabs- INMP and PE router Bifrost)
• Experience in Mwan equipment, MOP creation and Migration procedures proper
• Required skill(s): familiar with router and switches, CCNA/CCNP.
• With good communication skills
• Keen to details and can work under pressure
• Knowledgeable in MS Excel and the rest of the basic office software
