Job summary

PERSOL is seeking a Network Engineer to join a dynamic team focusing on delivering robust network solutions. The role provides hands-on experience with VLANs, routing, and firewall configurations across multiple platforms.

You will deploy and audit firewall rules, build IPsec tunnels and VPNs, and monitor networks using SNMP/Syslog to prevent business impact. CCNA is mandatory; NSE3/4 or PCCET/PCNSA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Networks & Systems.
• 1–2 years relevant working experience.
• CCNA certification is mandatory; Fortinet NSE 3/4 or Palo Alto PCCET/PCNSA is a plus.
• Strong Cisco CLI (IOS) and Web GUI skills for modern firewalls.
• Understanding of Layer 2: STP, VLANs, LACP; Layer 3 routing (Inter-VLAN, OSPF/EIGRP).
• Knowledge of NAT/PAT, security zones, and object-based rules.

Responsibilities

• Update and audit firewall rules on systems such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Checkpoint to ensure compliance with security protocols.

• Build and troubleshoot Site-to-Site IPsec tunnels and Client VPNs.

• Utilize monitoring tools (SNMP/Syslog) to proactively identify network issues and prevent business impact.

• Ensure interoperability between different vendors' hardware to maintain seamless network traffic flow.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Networks & Systems.

• 1-2 years of relevant working experience.

• Familiarity with Cisco CLI (IOS) and proficiency in Web GUIs for modern firewalls.

• Understanding and configuration skills in:

  • Layer 2: STP, VTP (or manual VLAN propagation), LACP.

  • Layer 3: Inter-VLAN routing (Router-on-a-stick), basic OSPF/EIGRP.

  • Security: NAT/PAT, Security Zones, and Object-based rules.

• CCNA certification is mandatory; Fortinet NSE 3/4 or Palo Alto PCCET/PCNSA is a plus.
