Job summary

Globe Telecom in the Philippines seeks a Network Disaster Recovery Lead for the Transport Network Domain. This leader will ensure DR policies, frameworks, and standards are applied across fiber, microwave, and IP transport infrastructure, focusing on governance, risk, and operational readiness.

You will coordinate with internal teams and external partners to maintain resilience, oversee resilience tests, and deliver critical dashboards and playbooks for rapid recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 3–5 years’ experience in transport network operations, disaster recovery, or governance of network continuity.
• Hands-on experience with transport vendors is an advantage.
• Experience in DR policy development, oversight or compliance monitoring.
• Proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams and external vendors.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Transport DR playbooks including fiber, DWDM, microwave, and IP/MPLS layers.
• Define recovery sequencing and rerouting governance.
• Conduct annual transport resilience tests (e.g., fiber break simulations).
• Evaluate real-time impact during command activation and guide sequencing.
• Coordinate with fiber teams for priority route restoration.
• Validate transport domain normalization.

Hiring Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, IT, or related field.

• 3-5 years’ experience in transport network operations, disaster recovery, or governance of network continuity.

• Hands-on experience with transport vendors (Nokia, Huawei, Ciena, Cisco) an advantage

• Experience in DR policy development, oversight, or compliance monitoring. Exposure to disaster communications, emergency rerouting, or backbone planning is an advantage.

• Proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams and external vendors
