- Conduct routine inspections of building systems and equipment to identify maintenance needs and potential issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on AC systems, plumbing fixtures, electrical systems, and other building components.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or building management and resolve issues promptly.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, AC, and mechanical systems as needed.
- Install, repair, or replace building fixtures, appliances, and equipment, such as doors, windows, locks, faucets, and lighting fixtures.
- Assist with building renovation or construction projects, including carpentry work, drywall installation, painting, and flooring.
- Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies and ensure they are properly stored and maintained.
- Monitor building systems for energy efficiency and make recommendations for improvements to reduce utility costs.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
- Provide excellent customer service to building occupants and address their concerns or inquiries professionally and courteously.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment specifications.
- Collaborate with other building staff, contractors, and vendors as needed to complete maintenance and repair tasks efficiently.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to building maintenance and repair.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in building maintenance, construction, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a building technician or in a similar maintenance role, preferably in a residential or commercial setting.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, AC, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in multiple trades, such as carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, and AC repair.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with tenants, colleagues, and vendors.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects as needed.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and maintenance techniques.
- A Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
