Job Description

Perform and maintain facility operations including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical repairs. Ensure ongoing facility integrity and safety, support emergency maintenance, and coordinate with external contractors.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Repair: Perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical repairs, including fixing lighting, plumbing fixtures, and equipment.
• Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, and maintenance of facilities and equipment to prevent breakdowns.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctions in machinery and building systems, applying root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
• Facility Improvements: Perform carpentry, painting, masonry, and basic construction tasks to maintain the building’s appearance and functionality.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and facility safety procedures.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance work, and material usage, reporting abnormalities to management.
• Vendor Coordination: Assist or monitor external contractors during repairs or installations.
• Operational Support: Respond to emergency maintenance calls, manage inventory of tools, and ensure the workplace is clean and organized.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Versatility: Proficiency in multiple trades (electrical, mechanical, plumbing).
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of HVAC systems, building automation, and at times IT/network cabling.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues and implement quick, effective solutions.
