Job summary

Calvelo.Engineered Services Corporation in Cebu City is seeking a Facilities Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and routine servicing of HVAC, electrical panels, plumbing, and other equipment at the Cebu IT Park site.

The role requires coordinating with vendors, documenting maintenance activities, and ensuring safety standards and compliance. Rotating day, mid, and night shifts are available, with benefits including government coverage, accident insurance, and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• National Certificate (NC II) preferred.
• Experience in preventive maintenance and facilities operations is a plus.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and wear safety gear.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections and servicing of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Perform routine maintenance like filter replacement, lubrication, and belt adjustments.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and perform corrective actions.
• Diagnose faults and restore systems within scope and certification.
• Safety and Compliance inspections of fire alarms, emergency lighting, and exits.
• Assist in maintaining first aid stations and report unsafe conditions.
• Daily facility walkthroughs and log findings.
• Coordinate with vendors for specialized maintenance or repair work.
• Support general upkeep and grounds maintenance.
• Documentation of logs, parts used, and equipment history.
• Provide updates to the Facility Engineer on task status and recommendations.
• Respond to service calls to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with technicians, engineers, and supervisors.

Job description

I. Preventive Maintenance

• Conduct regular inspections and servicing of HVAC systems, electrical panels, plumbing fixtures, and other mechanical equipment in accordance with manufacturer or client maintenance schedules.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacement, lubrication, belt adjustments, and performance testing to ensure optimal system operation and prevent equipment failure.

• Repairs and Troubleshooting Respond promptly to maintenance requests and perform corrective actions for electrical, plumbing, lighting, and minor carpentry issues.

• Diagnose faults, repair or replace defective components, and ensure systems are restored to proper working condition within their technical scope and certification.

• Safety and Compliance Conduct routine inspections of fire detection and alarm systems, emergency lighting, and exit pathways to ensure compliance with safety standards and local codes.

• Assist in maintaining first aid stations and report any unsafe conditions or code violations to the facility management team.

II. Facility Operations Support

• Perform daily facility walkthroughs to identify potential maintenance issues and log findings through the designated maintenance management system.

• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance or repair work as instructed by the facility engineer or manager.

III. Customer Coordination and Satisfaction

• Respond promptly to service calls and ensure minimal downtime for client equipment.

• Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements or replacements as needed.

• Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering effective service and maintenance activities.

• Communicate effectively with clients, providing technical guidance or service updates.

• Team Collaboration and Support Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and supervisors to achieve team objectives.

• Collaborate for site inspections, servicing and major repairs.

• Share ideas and knowledge to promote group effort and overall success.

• Reliever and Deployment Support Provide immediate coverage for absent colleagues or during emergencies.

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas and assigned tools.

Work Arrangement

Location: Cebu IT Park (BPO Building)
Schedule: Rotating Shifts (Day, Mid, and Night)
