Responsibilities

• Collect and deliver documents, parcels, and packages to recipients within Metro Manila using a motorized vehicle
• Plan and optimise delivery routes to ensure timely service delivery
• Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, including signatures, timestamps, and delivery notes
• Inspect vehicles daily to ensure safe working condition and perform basic maintenance as required
• Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while operating the vehicle
• Communicate professionally with clients and recipients, providing updates on delivery status
• Handle parcels and documents with care to prevent damage or loss during transit
• Report incidents, accidents, or vehicle issues to management immediately
• Maintain a clean and organised vehicle, for safety and appearance
• Meet daily and weekly delivery targets and performance metrics

About the role

We are seeking a Motorized Messenger to join the team at Interactive Multi-Purpose Cooperative. This is a full-time position based in Commonwealth, Quezon City, Metro Manila. As a Motorized Messenger, you will be responsible for the efficient and timely delivery of documents, parcels, and other materials across the Metro Manila area using a motorized vehicle. This role is essential to our operations, ensuring that our clients receive their deliveries promptly and in excellent condition. You will be the face of our organisation in the field, representing our commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and deliver documents, parcels, and packages to designated recipients within the Metro Manila area using a motorized vehicle

• Plan and optimise delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient service delivery

• Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, including signatures, timestamps, and any delivery notes

• Inspect vehicles daily to ensure they are in safe working condition and perform basic maintenance as required

• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies whilst operating the motorized vehicle

• Communicate professionally with clients and recipients, providing updates on delivery status when requested

• Handle parcels and documents with care to prevent damage or loss during transit

• Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle issues to management immediately

• Maintain a clean and organised vehicle, both for safety and professional appearance

• Meet daily and weekly delivery targets and performance metrics

What we're looking for

• Valid Professional Driver's License (PDL) or Motorcycle Driver's License, depending on vehicle assignment

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a delivery driver, motorcycle courier, or similar role in the logistics or courier industry

• Clean driving record with no major traffic violations or accidents

• Strong knowledge of Metro Manila road networks and traffic patterns

• Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently

• Ability to work independently whilst maintaining high standards of service

• Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry items up to 25 kilograms regularly

• Proficiency in basic mathematics for route planning and cash handling if required

• Good communication skills and a professional demeanour when interacting with clients

• Reliability and punctuality with a strong commitment to meeting delivery schedules

• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and mobile delivery tracking applications is preferred

• Basic mechanical knowledge for vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance is an advantage
